Hazardous Waste

District residents are encouraged to properly dispose of their chemicals, fertilizers, automotive fluids and other hazardous waste by participating in a household hazardous waste collection event.

By Appointment (April – September Only)

To schedule a 15-minute drop-off appointment on select Wednesdays call 419-751-2290.  Appointments are available in Delaware, Knox, Marion and Morrow locations and all locations are open to residents in all four District counties. Loads only containing household batteries are free (AA, AAA, C button batteries etc).  All other Household Hazardous Waste is $20/car (cash or card).

Saturday, June 13, 2026, from 9:00 am – 1:00 pm @ Marion County Fairgrounds, 220 E. Fairground Street, Marion.   Please be prepared to wait to be served. Loads only containing household batteries are free (AA, AAA, C button batteries etc).  All other Household Hazardous Waste is $20/car (cash only) For additional information, please call 740-223-4120.
