As of November 1, 2024, plastic clamshell containers are accepted in Rumpke and Mid-Ohio Sanitation recycling programs.  This includes all of the DKMM recycling drop-off locations.  Clamshells are the containers that some fresh fruits and vegetables (such as strawberries and some lettuces) are packed in.  This material is chipped into pellets and used by P&G right here in Ohio to make new product containers.  For a complete list of acceptable items, please click on this link.  Once you click on your county of residence, there will be a link for the acceptable items flyer.
