A new recycling location is officially being announced to replace the bins that were removed from the Memorial Park and Park and Ride sites. The new location will be in back of Opportunity Knox at 17604 Coshocton Avenue in Mount Vernon. As a reminder, all City of Mt. Vernon residents are entitled to free curbside recycling through their trash hauler, but this site will provide an additional option for all county residents to use. The DKMM Solid Waste District and the Knox County Commissioner’s Office both contributed funds to have the new location paved. The current opening is set for Monday, June, 27th. Like all the other county bins, they will be serviced by Rumpke and emptied on Tuesday and Friday. For accepted recyclable lists, current events and recycling FAQs, please visit:
